Bookings
We are not taking table bookings but if we happen to be full when you arrive we can take your mobile number and give you a ring as soon as the next table becomes available. You can then have a wander around the local shops or down by the riverside, working up an appetite until we can give you a ring! It shouldn't be long.

Who We Are
Our Roots
Have you ever had a dream that you thought would never come true? We have. But it did come true. We are the owners of The Cream Chimneys; Wayne, Jane and Piper (our golden retriever who works in the shop as our official welcomer!) It has long been a dream of ours (ok, Jane’s!) to run a coffee shop and what better place to do so than in the gorgeous Scottish Borders town of Kelso.
You may be wondering why we call it The Cream Chimneys? Well, we wanted something that resonated with the area and read somewhere that the chimney stacks in Kelso were made of cream bricks because they last longer than ordinary brick. We looked at lots of roof tops, and sure enough, there are lots of cream chimneys in the area and so The Cream Chimneys was born.

Dog (and human!) friendly

Piper
All dogs are welcome along with their well behaved owners. Dog water bowl is just by the door for thirsty four legged friends.

Our food and drink
Eat In or Take Out
Although we are a coffee shop and serve delicious locally roasted coffee, that's not all we serve. If you like your hot chocolate, try our delicious smooth Kelso chocolate made here in our town. Or if you're a tea drinker, we have a whole range of loose teas, not forgetting the spectacular Flora Teas. We also have a range of cold still and sparkling juices and drinks. Take a look!
Feeling peckish? Or meeting a friend for lunch? Come and enjoy a delicious lunch in a relaxed environment. Our food is all freshly made for each order as it comes in. And if you are looking for a sweet treat, then look no further than our Table of Temptation!
All of our menu is available to Take Out too!
Coffee
If you enjoy good coffee then you will hopefully love ours which is from Three Hills Coffee. Roasted to its optimum intensity right here in the Scottish Borders at the foot of the three hills of the Eildons, it is freshly delivered every week by our roaster, Richard. Our Eildon blend is a balance of three central and south american beans creating a well rounded smooth coffee with a nice body and some subtle caramel flavours.
Delicious!

Flora Teas
If you like something spectacular and different then you must try these! At the International Coffee Festival in London we came across these teas which are a feast for all your senses and brought them back with us to the Scottish Borders.
Other drinks
Whether you like tea, hot chocolate, sparkling juice, mineral water, ginger wine or zero sugar we will have something that tickles your taste buds.
